Activist for Africa

Brief info

My name is Ahmed Moumine. I was born in the coastal town of Douala in Cameroon. Our home was not far from the Wouri River, which empties into the ocean. A nature stroll and excursions from school stimulated my love for the ocean.

My family later moved to Yaounde where I presented conservation workshops at the zoo during holidays. It was during that time that I fell in love with nature and what she provides. My passion to love and protect the environment continues today while I study for a Bachelors degree in Enviromental Science at The University of Buea.

I am the founder of Think Green, an environmental movement that has gathered hundreds of youths around Cameroon and beyond to inspire them to take action and speak out for the environment. We have focused our efforts on plastic pollution, a serious problem which has been neglected here for years. It is a huge challenge and I am committed to making a positive impact. I took the No Plastic Drinks pledge. I am a very social person; l love soccer and discovering new places.
